From 9 to 14 January 2023, the Young Men Mentorship Program, run through Borotet Community Initiative, held a week-long programme to empower the boy child at Rafiki Centre in Kabarak, Nakuru County.
Working with the Government, NACADA and Sprouted Hope, the programme covered sexuality, mental health, academic empowerment, peer pressure, drug and substance abuse, cults, media and the internet, the influence of social media, relationships, self-awareness, economic empowerment, career guidance, health and hygiene, grooming, and social and dining etiquette.
The programme also included psycho-social support and team building.
